Okay so, I've been tinkering around with the MedAngle site, and my initial impressions are that it seems really cool, intuitive, well designed and has a host of useful features !, So you've got everything going right with the UI and setup, the questions seem to all work fine, (the sections I've browsed through are all perfect at the very least ) I do not have any idea on how the questions you solve get tracked, and which category of questions will be tracked exactly where/how (so far only the questions I've done under smart sets are being tracked for statistics) I'll get back to that after using the site a little more! (The statistics system is also very neat!) Once again, I'd like to say everything is really well done and thought through with this, but if I had to recommend additions/improvements, I would want : 1) a timed testing mode, (some of us really struggle with time management and would like to work on that !) It'd be nice if the numbers of questions in testing mode could be more flexible than 50 or 100 as well so that we could structure sections exactly like we'd get in our module or block exams (also allowing for completely adjustable timers) even if a timer isn't directly added, the ability to to be able to alter the number of questions in a test to any desired number would be a massive boon, (and the ability to string multiple subjects together would also be a big quality of life improvement too, like say, I want to give a test with 27 anatomy questions, 15 biochem questions, and 28 physiology questions ) 2) I know MedAngle is trying to push for active recall with how its questions are sorted, when you get an answer wrong it just gets red until you get the correct answer, and then when you get an option right it tells you why said the option was right. This is a brilliant system, (before I start about cool potential features though, I think I should add that having a little bit written about why each option is wrong would go a long way (I know it's a lot of work, but it will make a great product even more exceptional!) but MedAngle does claim to be a custom service tailored to everyone's needs, so it would be cool to have an option in settings to change how you look at questions, maybe you could convert the questions to test mode wherein they wouldn't tell you any answers and move you to the next questions and then tell you the options you selected, why they were wrong, and what the right options were plus why were they right, at the end of the test. There can also be a hybrid mode between the two systems wherein when you get an answer wrong it is instantly marked wrong, the correct option is flashed, and you move to the next question, (explanations at the end of test/set of questions) but you could choose to click on the correct option to stop the test and look at the detailed explanation then and there. All these demands may seem nitpicky, but I feel with a service this good you have to be when trying to find feedback on things that can be improved, and giving students more options to customize and tailor how they interact with the study material according to their own style and requirements will only be a plus the way I see it.
